Bowl LVI Experience
As the Official Truck of Super Bowl 56, we built Ford a 4,000 square-foot Electrified Tailgate at the Super Bowl Experience in Los Angeles – a week-long celebration of football, fans, and the joy of the game – all powered by the F-150 Lightning.
To bring this experience to life for football fans, we created a showstopping, contextual environment, designed to put fans at the center of the action. They had access to digital experiences, immersive gamification, once-in-a-lifetime celebrity appearances – and more – and the F-150 Lightning was the spark behind it all.
NFL enthusiasts could record their own Electrifying End Zone Celebration in front of a 16-foot green screen… Snap a custom digital fan card, showing off their tailgate style… And go head-to-head in Super Bowl-themed Lightning Round Trivia.
Fans explored the F-150 Lightning on a vehicle discovery hunt – which unlocked their custom rally towel. Then, to inspire the ultimate tailgating experience, multiple displays showed off Pro Power Onboard… leveraging 11 outlets between the truck bed and the Mega Power Frunk to power a crockpot, an Xbox, a DJ turntable… and everything in between.
We turned things up to eleven with the infamous DJ D-Nice with a one-hour set on Friday night, and as D-Nice spun throwback hits, football fans danced the electric slide, igniting a dance party in the middle of the field.
Fans who attended our Electrified Tailgate also had the chance to meet some of their football heroes… like Mark Ingram, Elbert “Ickey” Woods, and Jerry Rice. Thousands of fans lined up to go head-to-head against their heroes in Madden NFL, snap photos, and even dance with them in the end zone.
And through it all, the F-150 Lightning was the backbone of the experience, powering engagements, games, videos, and displays. Not only did fans have a blast at the Electrified Tailgate – they were excited to see the all-electric F-150 Lightning up-close, transforming their opinion of what an electric vehicle can do.
5 days. Dozens of experiences. And thousands of fans… Culminating in the ultimate, electrified tailgate.
